PLOT
Long ago, Earth was destroyed. Before the end, humanity discovered a wormhole and sent colony ships through in a desperate attempt to survive.
On the other side was the Purgatory Sector: a region of space filled with cosmic anomalies, supernatural occurrences, and the ruins of countless alien civilizations that had come before.
Two centuries later, the Purgatory Sector is humanity's last home.
The Citadel is the heart of human civilization, a mega-city space station ruled by the Corporation. This is where the majority of people live.
The wider sector is sparsely populated by other human factions such as the militaristic Dominion Fleet, the space pirate alliance known as the Frontier Pact, and various wayward independent colonies. There are even hostile alien threats in the outer systems, including the reptilian menace known as Saurians.
The deeper humanity expands, the clearer the truth becomes: Purgatory was never meant to be their home. It is a trap that lures intelligent species and consumes them. Countless others came before. Now it is humanity's turn.
