Destiny's Way

An original post-legacy Star Wars RPG.

In 319 ABY Imperial Coruscant fell to Rebel forces, sending the Fel family and their loyalist forces running to the farthest reaches of Imperial space. Five years of fighting ensued between Fel and Rebel forces; the rebels pushing the Fels farther and farther back in space while the Fels kept hitting back with everything at their disposal. In 325 ABY, a rogue Imperial fleet slipped back into the Core with a single set of galactic coordinates locked into their navcomputers; 0,0,0 -- Coruscant. The rebel fleet guarding Coruscant never saw the attack coming, making what happened all the more devastating.

The Naval assault lasted mere hours, the firepower of the Imperial warships overpowering that of the Rebel fleet. When the naval battle was over the Imperial Fleet Admiral ordered all of her ships to begin orbital bombardment of the planet, to put an end to the Rebels fighting once and for all. As for the crippled starships, they were evacuated and set for a collision course with the planet, to inflict further damage to Rebel forces occupying the planet. By the end of the bombardment, very few Imperial ships remained intact and Coruscant burned from pole to pole.

The surviving Imperial forces fled, chased off by returning Rebel fleets looking to rest and resupply. As the word got out across the galaxy, Rebel forces retreated back to the Core. As days turned to months and months turned to years the fighting eventually died off. However, even with the fighting having stopped, there was always the fear of attack and the start of a new galactic war. It took some time for the fears to subside, but peace eventually came back to the galaxy as a whole as the galactic factions settled within their new borders. Apart from system travel, very few traveled outside controlled areas for fear of what might happen if it were discovered where they hailed from.

Three hundred years have passed since the second fall of Coruscant, during that time factions have rose and fell within their borders, at times territory growing and shrinking. While these internal struggles have always ended with one side the victor and the other the loser, these fights for power have not spilled out past the borders of the systems. Galactic Peace has remained in tact for one of the longest periods of galactic history.

Many have forgotten the last war and it's outcome, causing galactic borders to once more open up and allow not only it's citizens but outsiders travel in and out of borders that have been closed for far too long. With this new galaxy to explore there are a plethora of opportunities for all manner of galactic citizens to make their way.

The galaxy is yours for the taking, go out and take it.


Star Wars: Destiny's Way is a play-by-post role-play taking place in 300 AFC.II (roughly 625 ABY) and is classified as a post-legacy RP. We are an beginner to advanced role-play with an new take on an old galaxy. We pride ourselves here on the fact that the board is primarily member driven.
