In the year 2045, a computer called Skynet is fighting a war against a human Resistance, after having nearly destroyed the rest of humanity in 2014. With the Resistance growing stronger and bolder, the machine calculates that there is a strong probability of defeat.
In a move of desperation, Skynet has found a way to send some of it's warriors, called Terminators, back in time. Their targets: future leaders and scientists that were pivotal in the impending Resistance victory in the 'Last War'. At the top of the list of targets is Sam Vargas, future leader of the Resistance and the central architect of the fall of Skynet.
The resistance sends their own warriors back to 2011. The first of them is named Rick Hunter and his mission is to protect a young woman with no idea of her destiny.
The question is: how do you stop a machine that is almost immune to current weapons technology? It can not be bargained with. It can not be reasoned with. It does not feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until its mission is accomplished.
