Social Networking

I was thinking about this today as I was posting updates for my upcoming site on Tumblr. There are so many people who use social media as a means to encourage people to join their site, to look at it, and to potentially join. It's a good place to network and for people to ask questions.

The catch? You need the followers and exposure.

So I thought of something that might be an interesting experiment if enough people are interested. Would any of those who use social media for their sites be interested in networking? What I mean by this is that it would involve following/liking/etc and interacting with each other's pages so that we can all broaden our network and potentially expose our followers to new and exciting sites.

I'm not sure how it would work beyond that, but I'd be interested to hear ideas and opinions on the subject.
