Project Wonderful

I notice project wonderful ads on a lot of the web comics I read, and it seems to me that there's likely to be overlap between web comic readers and RPers. So I was considering advertising via them, to try to extend my reach. I also am considering putting up a little ad space with the logic that anything made would be put towards advertising costs (either project wonderful ads or donations to the directories we're listed in).

When I asked my crew if they minded small ads, as long as they weren't annoying, scripty, and tracking with cookies, I got a wall of nonresponse and one person saying they didn't care because they wouldn't see it anyways because they use an ad blocker.

I personally hate noise making, animated ads that track you, but I don't mind people exchanging money just to get views of a static unobtrusive image.

So I'm fishing for thoughts before I decide how to proceed.
