WELCOME TO THE ASYLUM

There's a strange pall over the moonlight mile of the Arkham Asylum, the cheesy look of the hill set building, so large, so sprawling, somehow still menacing even in the horror movie quality of the place. It wasn't supposed to be frightening, it was meant to be a place of healing and mercy, even though that has sometimes been found sorely lacking. Rebuilt after the series of mysterious explosions that devastated the place, it now stands in majestic allure perched high above the city of Gotham.

Since the discovery of the Metaverse and the realization of many realities and Universes, things have never quite been the same. People of other worlds now mingle freely with those of the Earth, sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. Sometimes for much worse. But there is no longer a question of life elsewhere, now the question has become: How do we all co exist?

The Rift opened it all up, a two way highway in Space and Time, and now things will never be the same again. Earth has become the junction it never imagined itself to be, But for the people of the Asylum, things have become far more pressing than merely how to cope with the coming and goings of otherworlders. No, for them .. things are far reaching. Earth was declared a Neutral Zone, and because of this, the worst of the Cosmic offenders are now being sent to a highly refined Arkham Asylum.

The makeover was more than merely cosmetic.

Now there is a well fortified and deeply guarded place for the criminally insane of all worlds ... and their keepers are not always kind. Some work desperately to mend the fractured minds and Souls of the mass murderers and wicked ones from Earth and far beyond alike. Some are sincere. Some have other agendas. Psychopath and sociopath alike are here now, men such as Jim Moriarty and the Master of Gallifrey share chambers and meals, perhaps dark conspiracies. There are five hundred here, at present. Five hundred of the worst the Universes have to offer .. and the ones who would either save them or at least see them never return to freedom again.

Come with us now into the strange heart of the Asylum ... this world has never been in more danger.
