The Ilian Empire has been standing for almost five hundred years, and it is the greatest power in the known world — so great, in fact, that it can only be taken apart by the inner workings. Newly mended after being torn apart by civil war, Ilium yet again threatens to collapse on itself due to the ambitions of the nobility. For centuries, they have sought power, wealth, and glory, but the struggle between fate and volition leaves nobody unscathed.
