Barton Hollow is a small town nestled in the Rocky Mountains in Montana. It was founded in the late 1800’s by a man by the name of Richard Barton, who had come to discover the existence of supernatural creatures such as vampires and werewolves. Seeing his friends persecuted and hunted down, he finally decided to take the wealth he and his wife shared (despite her wishes) and clear a plot of land in a valley of the Rocky Mountains. Houses were built, and as word spread throughout the supernatural communities, the population grew.

As the years pressed on and Barton’s wife grew unhappier, she eventually drew other humans into the small settlement as well. This caused discourse between Gertrude and Richard, and eventually, they split up. With their split came a split of sorts in the town. The supernaturals were on one side, and the other side was filled with humans who had grown to hate the supernaturals.

To make a long story short, Gertrude and the humans who disliked supernaturals eventually grew into a large group of Hunters. As the population of Barton Hollow grew even more, things were forced to settle down for fear of hurting innocent and ignorant humans caught in the middle, but the bad blood still runs strong.

Power struggles between various supernatural creatures are causing problems, increased instances of magic spiraling out of control have made it harder to hide from hunters and from humans, and the town’s political scene has been invaded by both hunters and supernaturals. Where does your character fit in? Which side are they on? How will they stay safe?
