Evil Eyes: The Mummy

The Gods have awakened; the dead will be reborn and history will be rewritten.

Upon their return to England after their last adventure in the desert in 1933, the O'Connells settled back down in London. Alex O'Connell returned to his studies, Evelyn became the Head Curator of the British Museum's Ancient Egypt and Sudan department, and Rick decided to enjoy his time off from fighting the undead. Although it was assumed that peace had returned, it came to an end when Ardeth Bey walked upon the O'Connell manors doorstep one year later. It was Rick who opened the door that evening and much to his dismay, he received unfavorable knowledge as the bearer of bad news entered his household. As Ardeth told the tale of the Amulets of Karawan, two powerful amulets that were capable of leading the world to its undoing, Rick knew his assumptions were right.

The legend told began in Ancient Egypt when Pharaoh Seti I requested a powerful amulet to be made by the Egyptian Goddess Hathor. It was not only to ensure his protection but his family's as well. Hathor accepted Seti's request and offered him the Amulet of Khaldun, a ka necklace with the powers of immortality and immunity. Seti accepted Hathor's offering and kept it with him at all times. When the God Set witnessed this transaction take place he decided to create the Amulet of Setesh, a Was scepter with the power to travel through time. Requiring nothing in return, Set ordered a servant to present it to Seti who later accepted the offering. As word spread throughout the ancient world about the amulets within Egypt, armies formed and headed to Egypt in order to capture them. Not realizing that this was Set's original intention, Seti activated an ability of the Amulet of Setesh and transported both amulets to the year 1934, approximately one year after the defeat of the Scorpion King.

Another tale was told as Ardeth revealed more information about Imhotep's priests whose descendants were still living today as an enemy Bedouin clan known as the Djed. Both clans were made unaware that the chieftain of the Djed was the reincarnation of Pharaoh Seti I under a new alias and persona. As he recalled little information on his past life at the time, the chieftain managed to successfully locate the Amulet of Khaldun at Hamunaptra and retrieved a copy of the Book of the Dead. He then managed to locate Imhotep and Anck-su-namun's corpses and successfully resurrected them. Unknowingly to him, a Djed elder spoke secretly with the two mummies and said that not only was the chieftain the reincarnation of Pharaoh Seti I, but that he was currently unaware of their treason. He then advised them to act his once faithful courtiers. Subsequently after, the chieftain handed Anck-su-namun the Amulet of Khaldun so that she could not be harmed.

With the O'Connells now on the move and the Djed now after the Amulet of Setesh, the journey has yet to be written, let alone the destination. What becomes of this tale is left up to you as you decide your fate, your side, along with the fate of the world!
