To use post templates or not use post templates? That is the question.

I used to be quite into them--now i am not really a fan because they often can screw with the forums coding . or they are hard to read. I just feel inclined not to use them much. Though I still admire some well done ones

 

I think templates can be really nice and bring some flavor, but they can also be gaudy, distracting things that get in the way of the actual point (the roleplay, that is).

I think as long as they follow some sort of guidelines that make sure the writing remains the center focus and the obvious "keep it readable" then they can be okay. If it gets out of hand, they get out of use.
