This is exciting! I'll be a little more specific about the site here and post a general ad-like thing that's not really an ad (mostly). We are a Harry Potter Alternative Universe. We did keep most of Wizarding London, but beyond that, we’re pretty original. For one thing, Hogwarts was never founded. There’s Avalon Academy of Sorcery instead. And instead of Hogsmeade, we have Port Annwyn. Obviously, you can’t take a train to an island, so we have a ship from Swansea to Avalon. We have no word count at all, but most of our players do try to match what they’ve been given. We have an app, and it is designed to help you, and us, learn as much as possible about your character. Our ratios are pretty good right now. We do have more female students, but we have more male adults. As for school, we have openings in every year. As an adult, we have openings everywhere else. We also have a couple of plots taking off, so you could find a place for your character without much trouble. We are an IF forum. As I said, we do have plots getting ready to take off, but no canons. We do have wanted ads, though there isn’t much there at the moment. We also have a page of adoptables you could look at if you would like. I may be biased, but we are a really friendly community. We post welcome threads for each new account (player or character) and we do have a chat room, in addition to the on-site chatbox. Stop by and check us out. Our chatbox and chat room are both guest-friendly. And I would love to post a new welcome thread. :) We are in need of some new characters. The school needs some new first and second years, though we do have openings in every year. Plot-wise, we need some politically-minded adults. (We need others too, but those are all listed in our Openings.) Professors Needed! Hello everybody! There are several teaching jobs that we are in need of Professors. We need Professors for Transfiguration, Magical Creatures Studies, Divination, and Astronomy. Transfiguration and Magical Creatures Studies are both active classes and require the Professor to post a class once per month. Classes should be open and encourage Role Playing among students. Each month's class will be for a separate year as laid out here. Astronomy and Divination are passive classes and while there is no requirement for the Professors to post monthly classes, but they are encouraged to post in threads at the school and if they care to run any events (Field Trips, Projects, Etc.) they may. Even though these two classes are not required to post monthly they are still Professors at the school and the students do take their classes so they are encouraged to post as such. If you have any interest in assisting us by taking over one of these classes, please contact the Archwizard. We are also still in need of students, especially younger students, and adults who would like to throw themselves into the political arena.
Characters Needed! Hello everybody! We are always happy to take any characters that you feel like creating, but in particular the site is very much in need of younger students, primarily first through third year. The upper years have holes that could be filled too, but the younger years could really use the extra people. Also, we could use adults who are interested in getting involved in the plot outside of the school. They can be any profession or blood status, though we could particularly do with members of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and/or Muggleborn.
Transfiguration and Magical Creatures professor spots are taken, but there are still many more ways to get involved!
