Thoughts and Feedback on my site

I have re-built my site, but tonight I feel like it's officially done finally. Link is in sig. Press the like button if you think it's good. my only issue on here is the like button being hidden on the vote / stats page. Software is mybb latest version with plugins making theme colors better.

 

You might want to look at your site or server settings. I tried to click the link and got a suspicious site warning from my security system.

 

i think it's just you. It doesnt do that on phone when I checked and on edge it doesnt do that either. Did you try to click the continue button.

 

It's the given ssl from the host. We do have one. It's your end. I turned on defender and checked phone on both comp and phone. and even did firefox. It shows no 'unsafe site' message.

 

Interesting. I'm glad it's just on my end! I tried tinkering with my settings and still had issues so I think it just might be the security system I have.

Through the sig link the discription talks about a password required page. If you clicked the visit site link and saw a page that asks for a password then Yes the site works for your end / you saw it. The site is currently being rebuilt, and has the directery on locked mode from guests viewing it.

 

Why not put that info here xD . You're asking people for feedback but making it rather cumbersome to do.

 

well it was before I thought no one could really view it, and decided to just redo my site completely to fix it. I'm trying hard to get a ssl, but if you saw the password page then the hard work of verifying ssl isnt worth it.

 

Getting an SSL should be a fairly negligible fee depending on what host you're using.

I can tell you that from a marketing perspective, you'll lose a HUGE chunk of potential members by making them log in just to view your site, so it might be worth it to put in the effort to get an SSL

 

I'll think about the ssl more in a bit. When I'm done re-building. I just got the plugins left then the password thing will be gone.

finally done the password page is dismissed. Site looks better then the first time in april when I finished it. If the colors look dim that's the task manager doing its clean up thing. The colors will be bright once more when tasks finish which is seconds to us.

 

the task manager is turned off. Finally fixed the colors. Got our old theme back.

 

sorry for the text being so small. the cash was shrinking it. We spent all day fixing it. Hope the look is better now.

 

yes colors / theme is fixxed now finally. cash issue is fixed.

 

We went back to old version of mybb jan 33. there's just too much issues for reason. Both members and us like this version of the software better.

also not doing https mode 'cause of the editor plugin we use which wont work when we tried getting ssl.

Finally got the theme fixed to function well in the threds and on the home page. I hope the colors are better now. We have both dark style and a brighter version of default theme in the theme selector even though all themes can adapt to device colors.

 

This thread will always be opened for feedback.

 

update we have finally fixed the text shrinking thing the cashing issue, and the cookie issue has so far been fixed / still testing cookie thing.

It looks much better finallly.
