Maybe I'm old school - But I remember a time years ago when everyone seemed to be fighting to be the villain or the dark, edgy bad guy in the rp. Nowadays, it seems like everyone hates the idea of aligning their character with anything morally "incorrect." I've actually had players recently declare that they're leaving the rp or dropping a character altogether if their group does something bad - Like stealing land. Anyone else notice a big drop in baddies?

I haven't noticed this, but I do think that people seem less "edgy" than they used to, or more sensitive about certain topics, if you want to frame it that way. It may be a cultural shift that is affecting the landscape of roleplaying communities, but I don't know enough about it to say or make an educated guess, because my experiences are largely limited to my own niche community and player demographics. If we really wanted to know more about this, it might make sense to design some sort of survey and ask many roleplaying communities.
