I've recently began re-watching the anime Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, and was filled with emotional awe. I once again developed that familiar itch-- I really want to run this game! So, a couple days ago, I began plotting it out. I made a space on my forum for the game, and began writing the introduction/rules post for the game. I've also put out some feelers on Reddit, inquiring others what game system would be best (if any) to handle the construction of characters, magical spells, devices, and be fairly fast paced regarding the combat.

So far it's been recommended to use Big Eyes Small Mouth 3e, Battle Century G Remastered, and Princess Wing (although I don't own this one yet!), however I'm keeping my options open--if I end up using a game system at all, being this is play by post, and combat always seems to kill a forum game in my experience. The setting of Nanoha is combat intense.

There's a lot of preparation work to be done upon starting a character. You'll create your own Familiar, your special Intelligent Magical Device, magical color association, magical realm (type of magical focus), spell list, and Barrier Jacket (mage armor)

Anyway, if you like this particular anime, or even if you no clue about it, but enjoy a fusion of magic science fiction technology, and a good story about discovering friendship, then let's chat a little bit. Perhaps we'll call each other's name?
