Resolved Linking Back

Just need to add some functionality to remove sites without rpgfix's link on them. Putting this here as a reminder to myself. :)

 

Seems to be an influx of sites that don't have a link back... (or, one that I can find, anyway)? Three of them sitting in queue now from 11/22ish. :eek: Not sure how much clearer it could be made to people that a link back is required, though. :/

 

Yeah, I've been noticing that as well. I've been trying to figure out a way to smoothen out the process. I have a reciprocal link script that I wrote and used to use before on Ramath. When a person submitted their site, it would scan it for a link back. If it didn't find one, it wouldn't allow them to submit. So that's a possibility.

Edit: Just added a "No Link" option to the admin panel. If you click on it, the site will be declined and the game owner will be sent an email about it.

 

Reminder to me: a backlink checker is now built into the site submission form. All sites must now automatically have a link to RPGfix, otherwise their submission to the queue will fail.

Todo: Add a dead link checker bot which will periodically check for removed links, or dead URLs.
