How Did You Get Your Site Up and Running

So as someone who did start alone and is still the only admin, my way of garnering interest was posting an interest check while I was finishing up the last parts of it - the lore, skin, etc so people weren't waiting too long. And then I opened the Discord a bit early so people who were interested could join, chat, etc and start fostering the community before opening the doors officially. Obviously it's changed over time and it also doesn't necessarily work for everyone, but we're still kicking around, so that's something...

 

I did my start up a bit different this time. I got to the point of finishing all the board info and just left the images to do last.
normally I would finish every single thing and then open or write all the info and spend months on the skin, but this time, I finished up and started advertising with only a little bit of things left to fix up! Id say ive got a bit more members than usual? but still waiting to see if anyone else floats on by.
