Let's start this off!

I'm pleased to meet you Jodie, my alias is Rail, since I finally got tired of using a character's name. I'm new here, and I'll get to making my own intro soon, but I just wanted to say hi and I hope your RPG sites do really well.

 

Hiii. I'm Sid, everyone calls me Sabin. A hundred years ago I ran a feral dog game called Feral, and a little wolf and dog game called Touch of Silence/Northern Epic and was known under the user ID "Chaotic Rift". I don't really roleplay much anymore; but I maintain a forum and pay the hosting bill (since 2006) because I ♥ all the awesome people there. In the real world I raise and race AKC Siberian Huskies, drive truck, and cut up scrap metal. My boyfriend manslave is an axe murderer <_< lets just say he's a professional problem solver. I own an Asian girl, and when she behaves I let her go out on walks. I like kitties. That is all.

My real name is Amy, but I go by “KJ” online because when I first started using the internet I was told not to use my real name or I would get eaten by internet-savvy sea monsters. I prefer KJ but will answer to both! I am twenty-five and I first started roleplaying when I was…not…twenty-five. It’s been so long I don’t remember! I started out in MSN & Ayenee and progressed to Neopets from there, but the first real RPG I joined was on ezboard — “Wolves of the Night: Arctic Eclipse” — and that was how I tumbled into forum games.

Sid created all of my favorite games to date — Feral, especially! — but I also dearly miss Kiawae. I currently play at Vagrant and the Wild Wolf Society, and I am deeply immersed in a private post-apocalyptic RPG with Sid and our mutual friends Star and Kira.

In the real world I live in Oregon with my boyfriend of nearly five years and our children: Kennedy, our three-year-old mixed breed dog; and a quartet of domestic short-haired cats — Tsuki, Rorschach, Cho, and Ramsey. Ramsey may grow up to be a domestic medium-haired cat and make a liar out of me, though. I am in the process of completing my Bachelor’s Degree but I am still waffling as to whether I want to finish up pre-veterinary or foreign languages. Trebuchet MS is my favorite font; the Belgian Sheepdog is my favorite animal; Supernatural is my favorite television show; blue is my favorite color. I am an animal color supremacist and think that black-furred animals — puppies, kitties, rabbits, mice, horses, wolves, you name it — trump pretty much all other colors.

When I am feeling nervous or shy, I ramble.

I guess this would be the case in point.

 

Hi, I'm Amynta. I've been roleplaying for a couple of years, although recently I look a year-long break and wrote novels instead. I missed the community aspect though and so now I'm back. :) I've mostly RPed in Harry Potter RPGs, although I have briefly dabbled in X-Men and pan-fandom games. I always come back to HP though.

Anyway, nice to meet you all. :)

 

Yes, I think it will eventually become a children's (and parents'!) classic. At the very least I doubt that after the huge cultural impact it's had, it's not going to fade away. It's very timeless in its themes, which really helps, and also isn't easily dated by pop-culture references etc.

 

Sorry guys I waited so long before replying, got distracted with university.

So to start my introduction I'm Rail and a university student studying history at the moment. My interest was catalysed by a medieval re-enactment group, which gave me a huge appreciation of medieval warfare and weapons, and how the technology evolved, and the sheer amount of intelligence and detail which armourers and warriors put into their work.

Game-wise, I play fantasy. I have done the occasional modern fantasy, but the bulk of my writing is medieval, as you'd expect. I like being able to use my knowledge in play.

The RPG site I'm on is Verre Zon, which is currently being rebuilt to be a fantasy setting based on an Aztec Mexico which was able to mostly resist the invaders. We kept the site open during the rebuilding effort, because it has been taking months and we didn't want to let down our players. We would be glad to see new players and would absolutely love new players interested in helping with the rebuilding effort.

I have two characters there currently looking for partners. The first character is an Ameyatl (our Aztecs) sorcerer-priest, who is also, I kid you not, a wereparrot. He's out to overthrow colonist influence and oppression affecting some of the native tribes. The second character is an Imperial almost-knight who combines elements of the chivalrous paladin and the practical professional soldier, the intelligent kind of paladin rather than the Lawful Stupid Leeroy Jenkins kind.

My name's Gina, previously known as Skruffy and before that, Egg. I own and run Jaydis, owned Vindicated, Dark Intuition, Semblance, and Forest of Shadows. Everything after Jaydis has closed, and for different reasons. Forest of Shadows was my first foray into the world of ownership and administration. It was my first learning experience. Each forum after that has provided me with knowledge and insight of how to run a forum. Each encounter with another site's administration helps me grow and understand the proper way to run a forum. I have previously role played on several sites, including Wild Wolf Society, Soulmates, Souls, From the Ashes, and many more. Now, however, I am currently only role playing at Jaydis and Myth. I have a wolf site in the works that I'm taking a different kind of approach to as I begin to piece it together. It's no where near ready yet though so it will be a while before anyone sees it.
