For 1300 years the realm of Aëron has known peace and prosperity, a world built by magic from the Archeon Stone, the soul of the world. Using its gift, the free people of Aëron fashioned grand cities and humble villages across the continent, all while under the watchful eye of the Order that demanded both loyalty and servitude.
But peace can’t last forever, and paradise can never be real.
The Luminarch uprising began quietly, slipping through shadows and turning people against the Order, their twisted faith bleeding through skin and vein alike. On the Dark Night of 1250, the Luminarch assassinated Teruvel, a cut-throat Chosen of the Order from Vedenya, framing an innocent Aetherian servant for the murder.
In retaliation, all Aetherians, those without power, were exiled from the city’s walls, deemed dangerous and claimed to have been coveting power enough to murder high ranking officials. Propaganda claimed their lack of power was infectious, that coming into contact with one of them was enough to bleed your own magic dry.
Now, the Aetherian’s cling to walls or live wild and unprotected, while nature peels life from bone, and whispers from the Deep Forest drift through the air, suggesting of an awakening of power that could topple the regime entirely - freeing the outcasts from their societal exile and taking power from the few and giving it to the masses. As the realm stands on a knife's edge of ruin and prophecy, you must choose which side to fight for.
