We want:

• 18+ writers (this is both due to NSFW content as well as maturity - the majority of our members are in their late 20s-30s)
• Literacy in English reading, writing & comprehension
• Activity! Most of our members reply within 1-2 days. A slower pace is absolutely acceptable, but our writers are a very engaged bunch!
• Willingness to write on a forum - all roleplay takes place on custom myBB hosted on a private server.

Welcome to Court of the Fallen, an active and inclusive 18+ medieval fantasy lit-roleplay, offering collaborative play-by-post writing. Set on the continent of Caido, CotF draws on over 7 years of in-character plot, including a world-shattering war, an eldritch infection and the rise of an ancient goddess. Whether you're a seasoned writer of the genre or dipping your toe into something new, there is plenty for your character to experience as they find their place in Caido's dynamic world.

Four races are available to all members upon joining: Accepted (humans beloved by the gods and capable of channelling them in their time of need), Ancients (demonic humanoids afflicted with bloodlust), Attuned (humans capable of shapeshifting into animals) and Abandoned (humans shunned by the gods for their ability to use magic). Later, members can also unlock Demigod and Hybrid races!

Engage with our regular site-wide plots and seasonal events, explore a plethora of different biomes from magical sentient forests to dragon-infested mountain ranges, forge alliances, friendships, rivalries or even fall in love! Will your character carve their place in the world as a hero, a villain or somewhere in between? Will they earn the favour of the gods or shun them to embrace the arcane? Will they rise as the ruler of a region, work in its shadowy underbelly, or leave to seek adventure in the wilderness? The possibilities are endless, and the choices are yours!

We offer a custom levelling system so your characters will always have something to do, as well as system-automated flora and fauna encounters with over 200 custom prompts, an automatically-earned point system you can spend on character upgrades, guilds that offer immediate IC rewards and so much more! The admin team also regularly run table-top style RPG encounters and quests to further plots and offer characters high-risk, high-reward opportunities.
