Knockturn Bound - HP AU, 1920s

In March of 1921, the Annual Carnival was held on the Hogwarts grounds. The festivities took a dark turn when Thayer, the Astronomy professor and loyal servant of former Headmaster Halloway, abducted three young girls and took them to the Dark Tower, subjecting them to brutal torture in demand of Halloway's release from Azkaban.

As the Headmistress, Deputy, Care of Magical Creatures Professor, and Minister of Magic ascended the tower to intervene, the Ministry apprehended another of Halloway's spies below. The battle within the tower grew desperate - and in the end, Professor Barlowe was compelled to cast the Killing Curse to save the girls and bring the nightmare to its close.

The aftermath has been long, and darker still.

The trials that followed shook the wizarding world. Deputy Headmaster Blackwood faced scrutiny and was found not guilty. Headmistress Haswell was not so fortunate - found guilty, she was taken to Azkaban, leaving Hogwarts without its leader. Professor Barlowe, now Head of Gryffindor and Charms professor, was likewise tried and acquitted. The trial of Minister of Magic Merrow looms on the horizon, its outcome yet unknown.

In the wake of these upheavals, Hogwarts has a new Headmaster: Galen MacLean. Aurors now walk the corridors. Rules are stricter. The castle endures - but the shadows of the past have not yet fully lifted.

Student applications are open year-round, and our 1921-1922 term ends at the end of March. But it is not too late to join the fun!
