Special section for "spotlight" games. Not quite sure how they would be chosen though, or how often. If possible it'd also be neat to either pair them up with either a member review, or an interview with the game's founder.

Maybe one a month or one every other month? Or even every third month -- four sites a year would surely make it a prestigious thing. XD As for how they're chosen... popular vote, maybe? You could accept submissions that have to meet a certain criteria and then post those suggestions for open voting? I dunno. ;o

Yeah, I suppose it could be run as an awards sort of thing. Not quite sure what sort of criteria I'd look for... other than the game being at least four months old or so.

Once a site wins such a prestigious award it could go on their site page, as a giant gold star or something ;p I do really like the idea of an interview to go with it, which the award could then forever link too. I also second the every 3 months idea, one per season.

Criteria wise... age, organization/navigation, originality, story line?

Popular vote is always sketchy at best for results like this. It would automatically undervalue a low-population game and favor high population games that can muster more voters.

A small group selecting the games also has inherent problems (They'll be more naturally drawn to their own areas of the RPG world) but I see that as more fair a way (particularly if it's billed as an awards style thing I have little problem with the natural biases that happen within people.).

I wouldn't mind seeing an annual thing in which something is picked from each category in the browse (or maybe the browse, plus certain selected high-volume fandoms being judged independently to give some of the more unique non-fandom/small fandom games better chances).
