The USS Medusa, NCC-44641, is a Prometheus class starship assigned to the patrol and defense of the Gamma Quadrant. As a major retrofit of the classic design, the Medusa is one of the most capable warships in Starfleet to date. Designed and produced at Zetari Station's fleet yards, Starbase 204-B, the USS Medusa houses formidable ordinance not commonly found on most vessels of her type. She is also home to the 357th 'Devil Dogs' Tactical Assault Squadron, a SFMC detachment primarily charged with defense and support of NCC-44641, and the 42nd Recon Unit.
