Among the Hidden Lands, the village of Konohagakure has long been the dominant power. Home to some of the most gifted shinobi in the world, Konoha has managed to survive times of war and death and still maintain its authority among the other Hidden Villages. For years, no village would dare even discuss the possible invasion of Konoha for fear of the village's great strength.
With the Chuunin Exams coming up, the entire village is excited and waiting with baited breath to see who will advance from the rank of Genin. Hopefuls from all across the land will soon venture to Konoha for the exams to fight and earn their place as a Chuunin of their village. Among those attending will be three shinobi from the Hidden Village of Sound, a village which has long-since been at odds with Konoha.
Unbenownst to even the Third Hokage of Konoha, the evil founder of the Sound Village Orochimaru will also be in attendance. He has some twisted plans in store for the village and all who oppose him.
Soon the exams will be underway. Some will advance in rank and some will fail. But with tragedy and darkness looming on the horizon, not even Konoha will be able to stand against the terrifying new threat of the Sound Village.
